"Jesse's Last Night"
A film by David and Jesse Friedman
Premiered at Arlene's Grocery Picture Show and it was a huge success.
The film will be show at the Vancouver Jewish Film Festival www.vjff.org on October 16, 2004.
David has generously offered to make copies of Jesse's Last Night available through my legal defense fund http://www.FriedmanDefenseFund.org/ and the National Center for Reason and Justice as thank you gifts for donations of $25 or more towards my legal expenses.
As more and more Americans carry video cameras and video cell phones with them always, the amount of found footage available to future documentary filmmakers will explode. How will this manifest itself in future films? What will the trend of "found footage" versus scripted material be? Will a film composed entirely of found footage be accepted as a feature film in the years ahead?
I feel the footage touches on many important and emotionally powerful subjects such as: parental relationships; the bond between brothers; freedom and imprisonment; saying good-bye; inner strength and courage in the face of overwhelming adversity; and finding humor even when all logic says there is nothing left to laugh about.
